excellent!!! great painting
every time i use acrylic i get frustrated that i can't get enough detail with the type of canvas. do you know of a very fine canvas(almost like paper, no texture)

Oh, thank you so much for your kind words. Truthfully as this is only my 2nd completed acrylic I don't know of any quality stuff yet. But I have read on Robert Bateman's webpage to apply 4 coats of gesso, sand between each layer, with very fine grit sandpaper (I used that black automotive stuff); I noticed that with each layer the texture became more and more smooth. Hope that helps and makes sense :giggle:?

thank you it does if i ever try to do acrylic again. have you used oils before? and if so good/bad?
:iconmahican-atim:
I have one Work in Progress it's a copy of Robert Bateman's Sudden Move - Siberian Tiger. I started it a year ago, it's just small. The flow and color blending is much nicer than acrylic, but the knowledge base for techniques is much more complex. Of course drying between layers takes much longer too; actually, that's why it's not done yet, I got "side tracked" :giggle:. But go for you'll love it!
